Place remaining value and useful life
Where a charge has a usual lifetime, MietKorrekt sets the amount against the age and shows the calculated remaining value (Zeitwert) against the useful life (Lebensdauer).
Subject: Final settlement of the tenancy – response regarding individual charges Dear Sir or Madam, I have reviewed the final settlement bill and the handover documents available to me. In my view, some of the charges still leave open questions. 1. Malerarbeiten Schlafzimmer - Wände Dispersion neu gestrichen – CHF 620.00 The move-out inspection report records observations about the condition here. From the documents available it cannot be clearly judged whether the recorded condition goes beyond normal wear and tear. The contractor's invoice provided, for a total of CHF 620.00, accounts for the costs incurred.

Questions before you start
Which documents do I need?
Only the final settlement bill is needed, as a PDF or a photo. The move-out inspection report makes the check more specific for many charges — on your paperwork it may be headed “Wohnungsabnahmeprotokoll”, “Wohnungsabgabeprotokoll” or “Wohnungsübergabeprotokoll”. Add the move-in report (Einzugsprotokoll) and any contractor invoice if you have them.
The bill on its own already produces a check. With nothing to compare it against, though, several charges will come back as “needs clarification” rather than settled — each further document is what turns an open question into a specific answer.
Your documents can be in German, French or Italian. They are read in the language they are written in, quoted in that language, and explained to you in English.
When do I pay?
Only after your documents have been read and you can see what was recognised. Then you decide whether to unlock the full assessment for CHF 49.–. No subscription, no account, no recurring charge.
What do I get?
Every charge placed and explained, remaining value and useful life where they can be determined, the missing information named, next steps — and the written response to the administration as text to copy and as a PDF.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no registration and no password. Your case lives behind a private link, is no longer accessible 30 days after you create it, and you can delete it yourself at any time.
Is this legal advice?
No. MietKorrekt produces an automated assessment based on the documents you upload. It is not individual legal advice, it does not represent you, and it does not replace a tenants' association or a lawyer.
